The preparation is used as an antipyretic in febrile diseases in poultry (such as Gumboro disease in poultry or various febrile fevers). It is also used in cases of high fever resulting from viral, bacterial, and inflammatory infections in sheep and goats. It is also useful in relieving joint pain in cows and horses.
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients in the product. Do not give to cats.
Paracetamol is well tolerated in dogs at recommended doses. However, high doses have caused liver toxicity
It causes severe toxicity in cats due to their inability to excrete metabolites (acetaminophen depends on conjugation with glutathione for excretion, and glutathione deficiency can lead to toxicity). Clinical signs of toxicity include methemoglobinemia, acute liver toxicity, swollen paws, and Heinz body anemia.
As for the rest of the animals, there are no studies on their effect other than being a painkiller.
Vitamin C affects aminoglycosides (gentamicin – erythromycin).
