Do not use in cases of known hypersensitivity to tetracyclines.
Do not administer to animals with severe hepatic or renal impairment.
Transient local reactions at the injection site may occur. Using tetracycline during the period of tooth development, including late pregnancy, may cause discoloration of the teeth. Occasional allergic reactions may occur rarely.
Oxytetracycline is not compatible with preparations containing polyvalent cations (Ca, Mg, Fe), due to its known interference with tetracycline. Do not co-administer penicillins or cephalosporins and quinolones.
Usage:
It is given as a deep intramuscular injection.
Dosages and duration of treatment:
1 ml / 15 kg b.w. in a single dose (20 mg active substance / kg b.w.) The effectiveness lasts for 3-4 days.
Or at a dose of 1 ml / 10 kg body weight in a single dose (30 mg active substance / kg body weight) the effectiveness lasts for 6 days
