Diphenhydramine reaches to most of body, it is highest levels in the lungs, brain and spleen after injection, it is highly bound to plasma proteins to 98%, it is metabolized in the liver, and the majority of drug is excreted into the urine.
An antihistamine product has effect on: anticholinergic, antiemetic, antitussive. It use in allergic conditions, respiratory anaphylaxis, pruritus and allergic dermatitis, septic lominitis in cattle and horses, in motion sickness, azoturia in cows, sheeps, horses, dogs and cats
-CNS depression(lethargy-coma),Dry mouth, urinary retention
-The sedative effect of drug may effect the performance of working dogs.
-Not to use with sodium (Barbital, Cephalosporins, Hydrocortisone).
-Increased sedation can occur if drug is combined with CNS depressant drug.
For I.M . – I.V. Inj.:
Cows, sheep, horses: 2-5 ml/100 kg B.W. Twice daily
dogs, cats : 1-2 ml/10 kg B.W. Twice daily
